This course provides an overview of working safely with Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S). Topics covered are H2S formation chemistry and physical properties, personal protective equipment for H2S, precautions to take when working with H2S, and rescue and first aid including artificial respiration and CPR.

H2S Occurance

The largest industrial producer of H2S is the Petroleum Industry. Other sources include coke ovens, paper mills and tanneries. H2S gas can also be present naturally in well water and is used widely in refining processes.

Who Should Take H2S Training?

This course is intented for workers that work near or in proximity to Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S). Please note that this is strictly an awareness course. Some employers may require awareness training and others require classroom training (such as H2S Alive) which is more in depth and deals with practical training aswell.

Your certificates are stored within your training account. If for some reason a certificate is lost or damaged, a new certificate can be printed off at any time providing that you have successfully completed the corresponding training materials.
